Oatman and a Tour of Route 66

Get Your Kicks on Route 66

These decorated trees were along
the road before we entered town

An old stone house

Welcome to Oatman

The Burros roam the streets during
the day and head to the hills at night.
The tourists feed them carrots and they
follow you everywhere. This burro is too
young to eat carrots so they put a little
no carrots sticker on its head.

A sign with some history of the town.

This is the restaurant in the hotel. The
walls are full of money that people write
on.

Twice a day they have a gunfight in
front of the hotel.

The remnants of an old gold mine

Some interesting landscape

The following pictures were taken on the
road to Kingman

As you will see the road is very narrow and
there are no guard rails
It is winding and slow going for about 8 miles
but beautiful views. They have little spots along
the way where you can pull over and take
pictures

These are a few pictures of the London Bridge and the Annual Christmas Boat Parade

A Trip to Parker Arizona

We took a trip to Parker Arizona on Friday. On the way we passed through two accident sites on the highway, stopped at the Parker Dam (the deepest dam in the world) and saw a house on fire in the town of Parker. Not a good day for some!!
